VR Capital plans to invest UAH 75 million in recently acquired three wind farms in Odessa region

VR Capital signed three agreements on the purchase of 100% in "Artsizskaya WPP" LLC, "Artsyzskaya WPP-2" and "Kiliyskaya WPP" with a design capacity of 16.5 MW each

Earlier, the AMCU approved the purchase of these assets through the British company Elementum (Ukraine) II Limited.

It is noted that VR Capital Group plans to invest a total of UAH 75 million in these three acquired wind farms.

It is known that the choice of the location of wind farms, the development and approval of detailed plans of territories, projects of land allocation, obtaining urban planning conditions, passing an assessment of the impact of projects on the environment, developing feasibility studies for power distribution schemes, obtaining technical conditions and contracts for connecting wind farms to the energy system of Ukraine , the development of stages "P" of WPP projects, the examination of projects, the signing of preliminary contracts for the sale and purchase of electricity with the State Enterprise "Guaranteed Buyer" was carried out by the group of companies "Metropolia".

VR Capital Group acquired 68.61% in these projects from a corporate investment fund owned by the owner of Metropolia Group, Viktor Kurtev. The remaining 31.39% in the wind farm were sold by Yuri Kostrobiy and Oksana Kozachok, who in 2020 carried out bridging financing of projects at the development stage.

After the sale of three wind farms, Metropolia intends to continue technical support of projects for the period of their construction until they are put into commercial operation in 2022.
