W Group Invests $400 Million in U.S. AI Startup SignSplit

Ukrainian W Group, founded by Volodymyr Nosov, has invested $400 million in U.S.-based AI startup SignSplit

Ukrainian fintech and technology ecosystem W Group, founded by Volodymyr Nosov, has invested $400 million in U.S. startup SignSplit, which is developing infrastructure for the use of human data in artificial intelligence. Following the seed round, the company’s valuation reached $1 billion.

W Group was the sole investor in the round. The deal includes not only financing but also a multi-year strategic partnership intended to support SignSplit’s expansion across international markets.

SignSplit is developing technologies for the so-called signed data economy — a system that enables the verification of data provenance, records consent for its use, and defines access conditions. The platform targets companies operating in artificial intelligence, robotics, research, and media.

The solution is designed to simplify the protection and licensing of user data, intellectual work, and individuals’ digital likenesses, while providing transparent terms of use and enabling contributors to receive compensation for the value they provide.

SignSplit was founded in 2024 in the U.S. state of Delaware as a Public Benefit Corporation. The company’s co-founder and CEO is Italian entrepreneur Alessandro Monterosso.

W Group is a global fintech and technology ecosystem founded by Volodymyr Nosov in 2018. According to the company, it brings together 11 companies, employs more than 1,500 people across 15 offices, and serves over 40 million customers in 150 countries. The ecosystem includes cryptocurrency exchange WhiteBIT.
