According to the bank’s press service, an auction for the right to lease the stadium and the former training base of FC Dnipro is scheduled for January 27.
The bank is offering potential participants a one-year lease with automatic renewal. The starting rental price is set at UAH 2.7 million per month. This decision follows an unsuccessful attempt to sell the stadium. In October, PrivatBank put Dnipro Arena up for sale with a starting price of UAH 150 million, but the auction failed due to a lack of buyers.
Dnipro Arena was built in 2008, meets UEFA requirements for hosting international matches, and has a seating capacity of approximately 31,000 spectators. The lot also includes the former training base of FC Dnipro, located in a forested park area of the Prydniprovsk residential district in Dnipro’s Samarskyi district. The base was reconstructed in 2010 and comprises four standard natural-grass football training fields.
Previously, Dnipro Arena was owned by businessman Ihor Kolomoiskyi. PrivatBank became the owner of the stadium following its nationalization in 2016, as the asset had been pledged as collateral for loans obtained by the bank’s former owners. After transitioning to state ownership, the stadium continued to serve as a football venue for local clubs.
Until 2019, Dnipro Arena was the home stadium of FC Dnipro, which ceased operations after Kolomoiskyi withdrew further financial support. Subsequently, SC Dnipro-1 hosted its home matches at the arena. The club operated until 2024 and suspended activities due to financial difficulties.
