The agricultural holding Myronovsky Hlibprodukt (MHP) completed the first phase of a 12 MW biogas complex at Ladyzhynska poultry farm (Vinnytsia region).
The bio station will start generating electricity from biogas. Director of MHP Eko Energy Ivan Traksler announced it. But he noted that before the end of the year it is planned to reach the full capacity of the first stage. Biogas at Ladyzhynska poultry farm is produced from chicken manure, in addition to energy resources, in the process of burning organic fertilizers are obtained.
Investments in the first phase of the complex amounted to about $20 million. In the future, the power plant plans to increase the capacity up to 20 MW. At the end of 2014, Myronivsky Hliboprodukt built the first biogas station at the Oril-Leader poultry farm in Dnipropetrovsk region. Its capacity is 5 MW/hour (equivalent to electricity supply for 15,000 apartments and thermal supply for 1,500 apartments).
Myronivsky Hliboproduct is a producer of chicken in Ukraine. It is also engaged in the production of cereals, sunflower oil, processing of meat products.
The founder and a majority shareholder of MPH is Ukrainian businessman Yuriy Kosyuk.
