The European Investment Bank, which participates in financing of municipal projects in Ukraine as well as in private sector, will provide EUR 200mln for the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine. The facility will be channeled into upgrading and vehicle fleet renovation in 20 cities of Ukraine. The project aims at supporting of national program for public transportation made by the government of Ukraine, the EU office in Ukraine reported. In particular, the money will be spent on purchases and renovation of trolleybuses, trams and buses. Also, the program foresees refurbishing and construction of objects of passenger transport infrastructure. The investments range from EUR 1mln to EUR 50mln. The correspondent agreement was signed on November 11.
