Turkish energy group Aydem Holding A.S. is considering the implementation of a renewable energy project in Kyiv Region with a total installed capacity of up to 100 MW. A corresponding memorandum of cooperation has been signed between the Kyiv Regional Development Agency and one of Turkey’s largest energy investors.
According to the Kyiv Regional Development Agency, the memorandum provides for support of the investment project throughout all stages of its preparation and implementation. The agency will provide comprehensive assistance to the investor, including the selection of a suitable land plot, interaction with local communities, and coordination with state authorities. The project will be implemented in cooperation with UkraineInvest, the government office for investment attraction and support.
Nazarii Volianskyi, Director of the Kyiv Regional Development Agency, said that one of the agency’s key objectives is to create the most favorable possible conditions for foreign investors and accelerate the implementation of large-scale investment projects in the region.
According to him, cooperation with Aydem Holding A.S. is expected to become a starting point for new large-scale Turkish investments in Kyiv Region. The project is expected to contribute to the development of regional energy infrastructure, increase the share of renewable energy sources, and further strengthen economic cooperation between Ukraine and Turkey.
The parties have not yet disclosed the amount of planned investment, the construction timeline, or the structure of the future generation facilities. It is currently known only that the projects may reach a combined installed capacity of up to 100 MW.
Aydem Holding A.S. is one of Turkey’s leading energy companies and has operated in the market for more than 40 years. The group is active in electricity generation, distribution, and retail supply, with a particular focus on renewable energy. Its portfolio includes hydroelectric, wind, and geothermal generation projects, making it one of the largest players in Turkey’s renewable energy market.
