Uklon Acquires Lviv-Based E-Scooter Operator e-Wings for UAH 97.6 Million

Uklon, the online ride-hailing service within Kyivstar Group, has acquired Lviv-based e-scooter operator e-Wings for UAH 97.6 million to integrate micromobility services into its platform

Uklon, the online ride-hailing service within Kyivstar Group, has announced the acquisition of Lviv-based e-scooter rental operator e-Wings. The transaction value is UAH 97.6 million, with closing expected in the third quarter of 2026. The acquisition marks one of Uklon’s largest steps toward expanding its presence in urban mobility and diversifying its transport services.

According to Uklon CEO Serhii Hryshkov, the development of the micromobility segment is a logical continuation of the company’s strategy to build a comprehensive platform for user mobility. The company intends to combine different modes of transport within a single digital ecosystem, enabling customers to plan and pay for trips of various formats — from short urban rides on e-scooters to intercity and international routes.

Currently, the e-Wings e-scooter rental service operates in 11 Ukrainian cities through its own mobile application. Following completion of the transaction and a transition period, the service functionality will be integrated into Uklon’s main application. This will allow users to access different transport services within a single platform.

As part of the transaction, the e-Wings team will join Uklon’s structure. The new business line will be managed under the leadership of Uklon’s Chief Operating Officer, Vadym Ishchenko. e-Wings co-founders Roman Motruk and Oleh Bilyi will also continue working on the development of the business as part of Uklon.

The founders of e-Wings noted that joining Uklon opens new opportunities for scaling the service and creating a unified urban mobility platform that can combine e-scooter rental, car ordering and other transport solutions in one application.

The e-Wings fleet currently includes around 3,000 e-scooters. The company provides services in cities including Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Odesa, Kremenchuk, Sumy, Horishni Plavni, Drohobych, Zolochiv, Ternopil, Irpin and Chernihiv.

The transaction reflects Uklon’s intention to strengthen its position in the urban mobility market following its integration into Kyivstar’s structure. Uklon was included in the telecom group’s financial reporting in April 2025. In the first quarter of 2026, Uklon generated UAH 1.425 billion ($32.9 million) in revenue, while EBITDA reached UAH 538.9 million ($12.4 million). During the three-month period, users completed 43.7 million rides through the platform and placed 1.5 million delivery orders.

Market experts note that the acquisition of e-Wings will allow Uklon to intensify competition with international service Bolt, which remains the company’s main rival in Ukraine and already offers both ride-hailing services and e-scooter rentals. The expansion of Uklon’s product line may contribute to strengthening its market position and increasing its share in the urban mobility segment.
