Ukraine Receives €2.9 Billion from EU Under Ukraine Facility

Ukraine has received €2.9 billion from the European Union under the Ukraine Facility after meeting 10 indicators in the banking sector, energy, agricultural policy, transport, and other areas

Ukraine has received €2.9 billion from the European Union under the Ukraine Facility. The funds were disbursed after Ukraine met 10 indicators during the first and second quarters of 2026, as well as previously defined benchmarks.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhii Koretskyi announced the receipt of the financing. According to him, the completed indicators covered the banking sector, energy, agricultural policy, transport, and other areas. Ukraine fulfilled three of the required benchmarks ahead of schedule.

The €2.9 billion received is part of previously approved financing under the Ukraine Facility. The funds are intended to support the country’s financial stability and finance key public expenditures.

The Prime Minister noted that additional external financing allows Ukraine to allocate more of its own budget resources to defense. At the same time, he said that the country’s financing needs remain critical.

The government intends to accelerate the adoption of the necessary decisions and continues to work with the Verkhovna Rada on legislation required to secure further financing already envisaged under the program.
