Ukrainian Fund Angel One Invested in Three Ukrainian Startups in AI and Defense

Angel One Fund invested in three Ukrainian startups — AiSDR, DoD Solution, and Deftak — spanning AI, sales automation, and defense technologies

Venture capital fund Angel One Fund invested, through syndicated deals, in three Ukrainian startups — one in the civilian sector and two in defense technology: AiSDR, DoD Solution, and Deftak.

In the civilian segment, funding was secured by AiSDR, an artificial intelligence-based sales automation platform. It fully automates the process of generating both inbound and outbound leads. The company will use the investment to accelerate product development and achieve its planned financial targets.

In the defense segment, the fund backed two projects. The first is DoD Solution, an Estonian-Ukrainian Defense Tech startup developing the AURA autonomy platform — a hardware and software solution for unmanned and robotic systems. The attracted capital will be used to further develop the platform, create new computing solutions for UAVs and interceptor drones, scale production, expand into international markets, and grow partnerships.

The second is Deftak, a Ukrainian startup developing guided munitions. Its technology enables munitions to change trajectory after release using a built-in camera that adjusts the flight path. The investment will be directed toward expanding production and deploying the solution.

Angel One Fund’s first interaction with DoD Solution and Deftak took place at a Brave1 event during a technology presentation.

According to the fund’s managing partner, Ivan Petrenko, the investment rationale is to support solutions that “eliminate entire roles, constraints, and delays in processes.”

The fund’s average investment size is around $200,000. Angel One is a venture fund established at the Ukrainian Catholic University. Its mission is to support Ukrainian startups, foster the startup ecosystem, and help early-stage projects grow.

The fund focuses on companies founded by Ukrainian entrepreneurs and working with advanced technologies, deep innovation, and protected intellectual property. Its portfolio companies include Zeely, Haiqu, Mosqitter, GO TO-U, Clearly, SOC Prime, memoryOS, and others.

In March 2026, Angel One raised around $3 million for its second fund. During 2026, it plans to invest these funds in 12 Ukrainian startups. The new fund will allocate investments equally between civilian projects and the Defense Tech segment.
