Ukrbud Sold for UAH 805 Million

In a recent online auction, Ukrainian construction company Ukrbud was sold for UAH 805 million—three times its starting price

On Wednesday, June 18, an online auction was held for the sale of Ukrbud Construction Company as part of Ukraine’s large-scale privatization program. The initial asking price for the asset was UAH 262.6 million (excluding VAT). The auction followed a three-round English bidding format.

Five companies participated in the auction. The winning bid of UAH 805 million came from Petro Oil and Chemicals LLC, a company engaged primarily in petroleum product manufacturing. The firm reported revenue of UAH 1.4 million in 2024. Its beneficial owner is David Bezhuashvili from Georgia.

Ukrbud was added to the list of large privatization assets by the Cabinet of Ministers in September 2024, with starting price and sale conditions approved in March 2025.

According to the State Property Fund of Ukraine, Ukrbud is classified under construction as its core activity. Over 21 years, the company has completed the development of several industrial plants, four residential buildings in Kyiv, and contributed to the construction of the sarcophagus over the fourth reactor of the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant.

The state-owned enterprise holds a total of 114,000 square meters of real estate across different regions of Ukraine. Some assets are located in temporarily occupied territories, including Donetsk, Makiivka, and Mariupol. Ukrbud also manages 15 land plots totaling 11.6 hectares in cities such as Kyiv, Dnipro, Lviv, Sumy, and Zhytomyr.
