US-Ukrainian investment group MITS Capital has announced an investment in Danish-Ukrainian company Dropla Tech, which specializes in the development of AI-based defense technologies and unmanned ground robotic systems. The company announced the transaction on July 9, noting that the funding will enable the startup to accelerate production scaling, expand international cooperation and enter NATO markets.
The amount of the investment, as well as Dropla Tech’s valuation, was not disclosed by the parties.
As part of the transaction, Dropla Tech joined the MITS Accelerator program, becoming the first publicly announced participant of the program’s third cohort. In addition to financial support, the company will gain access to MITS Capital’s expert and investment ecosystem, which is focused on developing Ukrainian technology and defense startups.
Dropla Tech was founded in 2023 by four Ukrainian entrepreneurs. The company is headquartered in Odense, Denmark, while its engineering and operational teams continue to work in Ukraine. This structure allows the company to combine European jurisdiction with Ukrainian engineering expertise and experience in developing solutions for modern battlefield conditions.
Dropla Tech’s flagship product is the Blue Eyes Warbox intelligent system, built on edge AI technology. Unlike traditional solutions, the system is capable of processing data directly on the device without connecting to cloud services, which is particularly important in conditions of electronic warfare and unstable communications.
Blue Eyes Warbox detects a wide range of threats in real time, including so-called “ambush drones,” anti-personnel and anti-tank mines, improvised explosive devices, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles. According to the company, the system is already used by units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Ukrainian security services.
An important advantage of the solution is its codification in the NATO Stock System, the Alliance’s unified product cataloguing system. This allows NATO member states to procure the system through standard supply procedures, simplifying its commercialization in the international defense market.
In addition to threat detection systems, Dropla Tech is developing a line of unmanned ground robotic platforms. The company is developing Dropla 4×4 and Dropla 6×6 unmanned systems designed for casualty evacuation, cargo delivery, reconnaissance and other military tasks. Another area of development is Dropla Seer, a mobile system created for humanitarian demining.
The company is actively expanding international technological cooperation. In July, Dropla Tech announced the integration of its ground platforms with the MOSAIC UXS system of Germany’s Quantum Systems, one of Europe’s leading developers of unmanned systems. In addition, during the Eurosatory 2026 international defense exhibition, the company signed a memorandum of cooperation with Ukrainian robotics developer Frontline Robotics.
The next stage of Dropla Tech’s development will be participation in the state initiative Build with Ukraine, aimed at localizing the production of defense technologies and expanding Ukraine’s industrial base. The company also plans to significantly increase production capacity, bringing output of unmanned ground robotic platforms to 3,000 units per year.
MITS Capital’s investment reflects continued strong interest from international investors in Ukrainian defense tech companies developing solutions in autonomous systems, artificial intelligence and robotics. Amid growing demand from NATO countries and European partners, Ukrainian defense startups are increasingly raising capital to scale production and enter international markets.
