Chinese CNBM reveal plans to invest USD 2bn in energy sector of Ukraine

CNBM International Corporation and Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine has signed a memorundum of cooperation

Ihor Nasalyk, the minister of energy and coal industry, disclosed that major efforts will be put into Ukrainian-Chinese cooperation aiming at realization of joint projects in energy sector and coal industry and carrying out of modernization of equipment of electric power generation and transmission. 

The memorandum foresees conducting of regular consultations enabling to share information and experience in law making in energy sectors of the two countries.    

The bilateral arrangement also includes sections about information exchange in prospecting and potential projects on the territories of Ukraine and China, as well development of scientific and technological potential in the frames of the investment projects.

CNBM International Corporation is one of the largest state owned Chinese corporations. It has been present in Ukraine for five years specializing mainly in renewable energy.
