Corn Deep Processing Plant and 5 MW Solar Power Plant Planned in Chernihiv Region

A corn deep processing plant and a 5 MW solar power plant are planned to be built at the industrial park in Nosivka, Chernihiv region

In Chernihiv region, several large-scale investment projects are being considered as part of the development of the industrial park in the city of Nosivka, including the construction of a corn deep processing plant and a 5 MW solar power plant.

According to Andrii Boiko, Head of the Nova Industrial Chernihiv Region Association, potential investors have already expressed interest in the project. One of them plans to build a 5 MW solar power plant, while a group of Ukrainian investors residing in Germany is considering the construction of a corn deep processing facility.

The site of the former sugar plant in Nosivka, covering around 14 hectares, has been selected for the industrial park. In December 2025, the private enterprise Teplychne, headed by Andrii Boiko, became the park’s management company.

According to Volodymyr Ihnatchenko, Head of the Nosivka community, the Nosivski Hospodarstva industrial park was registered about six months ago and became the second project of this type in the region. He noted that the site had previously been unused and did not generate revenue for the local budget, while the launch of the park will create new jobs and increase tax revenues.

Andrii Boiko said that preparatory works are currently underway on the territory of the future park, including site clearing. At the same time, design and cost estimate documentation is being developed for infrastructure connections, including electricity supply of up to 10 MW, road construction, sewage and water supply. The possibility of laying a railway branch is also being considered separately.

According to preliminary estimates, connecting electricity to the site alone will require around UAH 75 million in investment and the construction of a power line approximately 3.5 km long.

In addition to the industrial park, Boiko is developing his own agribusiness in Nosivka. A year and a half ago, he built a greenhouse complex with an area of 4,600 sq. m, with plans to expand it to 25,000 sq. m in the future. An application has already been submitted to the Ministry of Economy for a UAH 7 million grant to build the next phase of the greenhouses.

Modern automation technologies are being implemented at the greenhouse complex, including soil heating systems, automatic irrigation and partial automation of fertilizer application with the ability to control processes remotely. The farm is already growing dozens of types of vegetable seedlings and is also testing new crops.
