Real estate developer KAN Development has invested $120 million in the education sector and the construction of new schools even amid the ongoing war, according to company founder Ihor Nikonov.

He noted that the company remains committed to its strategy of building self-sufficient ecosystems that integrate work, education, sports, healthcare, and safety.
“At KAN Development, we believe in the future and are building it today. During the war, we invested $120 million in children’s education and are constructing schools of a new standard,” Nikonov said, summarizing his remarks at the Kyiv International Economic Forum (KIEF).

In particular, KAN Development is implementing two major school construction projects in Kyiv — within the Respublika residential complex and on McCain Street. The total investment in these facilities amounts to $80 million, with a combined capacity of about 2,000 students.

Additionally, in September 2024, the architectural and engineering college “A+” opened within the Fayna Town residential district, becoming the 15th educational institution in the “A+” network.

Founded in 2001, KAN Development is one of Ukraine’s leading real estate developers. Its portfolio includes landmark projects such as Ocean Plaza, Respublika Park, Tetris Hall, Central Park, Comfort Town, Fayna Town, IQ Business Center, and 101 Tower.

Over more than 20 years of operations, KAN Development has built over 3 million square meters of residential, commercial, and retail real estate, while actively expanding its own educational network “A+.”
