Nova Poshta has invested UAH 30.5 million in developing its network of self-service branches and plans to open another 11 such locations by the end of 2026. The expansion of the new format forms part of the company’s strategy to automate customer service and broaden its range of digital services.

Four self-service branches are currently operating in Ukraine, located in Kyiv, Irpin, and Vinnytsia. The new format allows customers to collect shipments without assistance from an employee. To do so, customers scan a barcode in the mobile application, pay for delivery where required, and collect their parcel independently.

According to the company, self-service technology reduces the amount of time customers spend in a branch by approximately 30%. At technology-enabled branches, customers already collect every third parcel without employee assistance, while at the branch in Irpin the figure reaches 44%.

Before opening a new branch, the company assesses potential locations against several criteria. In particular, the branch must process at least 16,000 shipments per month, the premises must be fully covered by video surveillance, and customers in the area must demonstrate a high level of digital-service usage.

Viktoriia Tkachova, Director of Nova Poshta’s National Network Department, said that the development of self-service branches is one of the company’s key priorities in its digital transformation and its efforts to improve customer convenience.

The company is also continuing to expand other automated service formats. Nova Poshta’s network currently includes more than 38,000 parcel lockers, while 334 self-service terminals have been installed across 285 branches.

Nova Poshta, part of Nova Group and Ukraine’s largest express delivery operator, increased its revenue by 32% year on year in the first half of 2026 to UAH 32.5 billion. The number of shipments delivered rose by 11.5% to 254.4 million, including 17.9 million international shipments.

The group’s capital investment exceeded UAH 1.5 billion in January–June 2026. The funds were allocated to network expansion, enhanced security, logistics infrastructure modernisation, energy resilience, and the development of digital services.

At the same time, Nova Poshta terminals and branches have been regularly targeted by Russian attacks since spring 2026. The company estimated losses from Russian strikes during the first four months of 2026 at UAH 325 million, while continuing to invest in network expansion and the introduction of new customer-service technologies.
