Private Investors Gain Access to a 10.4 MW Operating Wind Farm in Zakarpattia

According to InVenture, the Varto investment platform has opened access to investments in a 10.4 MW wind power plant in Zakarpattia, offering a 14.29% annual return in euro with a minimum entry ...

The Varto platform has announced the launch of investments into its first infrastructure asset — the operating NV-3 wind power plant with a capacity of 10.4 MW located in the Zakarpattia region.

The facility is situated in the village of Nyzhni Vorota (Zakarpattia region) and operates in the renewable energy sector. The plant was commissioned on June 23, 2025, is connected to Ukraine’s Unified Energy System, and sells electricity on market-based terms.

The NV-3 wind farm consists of two industrial wind turbines with a capacity of 5.2 MW each, totaling 10.4 MW. Annual generation amounts to 30–32 million kWh. The projected operational lifespan is up to 25 years.

The financial model is based on actual historical generation data. Operations are conducted under valid O&M contracts, while a SCADA system provides real-time monitoring of output.

For investors, this means there is no construction phase — income generation begins upon entry.

The investment structure is implemented through a Ukrainian closed-end non-diversified venture investment fund — ZKPIF “Real Estate Growth Fund,” which will acquire a 49% stake in the two wind turbines. Asset management is carried out by Portofin AMC.

The asset operator remains LLC “NV-3,” which retains 51% ownership and is responsible for operations and electricity sales.
Settlement and securities accounting are handled through the licensed broker Univer Capital.

The total project investment amounts to €11.7 million. The minimum investment threshold starts from UAH 122,000 (122 investment certificates).

  • Average return: 14.29% per annum (EUR)
  • Quarterly distributions: 11–13% per annum (EUR)
  • Payback period: 8 years
  • Investment horizon: 11 years

The project is positioned as an opportunity to participate in a real infrastructure asset with recurring cash flow and a structured legal framework via a Ukrainian investment fund.
