The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will provide a loan of EUR 5.6 million to Ekotechnik Shyroke LLC for the construction of a solar power plant with an installed capacity of 7 MW in Dnipro region.
"The EBRD will provide a 10-year loan worth EUR 5.6 million to Ekotechnik Shyroke LLC for the construction and maintenance of a 7 MW solar power plant in Dnipro region in southeastern Ukraine. The implementation of this project will increase the share of alternative energy in the electricity generation structure of the country,” reads the report.
The EBRD added that the solar power plant, which is jointly owned by EKOTECHNIK Group (Czech Republic) and TRYBA ENERGY (France), will contribute to Ukraine's goal of increasing its share of renewable energy in total consumption up to 11% by 2020.
