Ukrainian trailer manufacturer TAD has completed the construction of a new production complex for special trailers used in the transportation of oversized cargo in the town of Volochysk, located in the Khmelnytskyi region. The total investment in the new facility amounts to $8 million.
According to Dmytro Kysylevskyi, Deputy Chair of the Parliamentary Committee on Economic Development, the launch of the new production complex will allow TAD to double its manufacturing capacity. “The new facility spans 8,000 sq.m. and will create 250 additional jobs. It will also enable the company to begin producing a new product line—modular trailers,” Kysylevskyi stated.
Founded in 2006, TAD (registered as “Trans-Avto-D”) is a leading manufacturer of specialized trailers in Ukraine and Eastern Europe. The company specializes in the production of multi-axle trailers (from two to 25 axles) capable of carrying loads up to 300 tonnes. TAD currently employs 650 people.
The company uses components from global suppliers, including BPW, SAF, WABCO, TRIDEC, Pewag, and Rud. TAD also utilizes state support programs, including concessional loans under the “5-7-9” initiative and the 15% reimbursement program for domestically manufactured equipment.
The company is privately owned by two local entrepreneurs: Vitalii Melnyk (87.5%) and Andrii Babkin (12.5%).
