A hospital with 3D printers for printing prostheses will be built in Buch, Kyiv region

By the end of 2024, a hospital will be built in Buchi on the basis of the Mental Health Center, where 3D printers will be installed to print prostheses for defenders.

The new hospital will strengthen the Buchan center, have a separate department for physical rehabilitation of patients and expand the possibilities of clinical research. For its creation, experience is taken from US hospitals, in particular, a medical facility in the city of Bensalem, Pennsylvania, which specializes in orthopedics. This was announced by the mayor of Buchi, Anatoly Fedoruk.

Prostheses, which will be printed on 3D printers, will be manufactured according to clinical examinations and will last as long as conventional ones.

The NGO "Ukraine Focus" will provide the hospital with printers. In addition, together with the American medical corporation Northwell Health, the medical facility will create a training center where the staff will be able to learn new technologies.

In general, four such hospitals should be built in Ukraine, in accordance with the agreement signed in the USA. The location of the other three hospitals will be determined by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
