Osavul is an anti-disinformation IT company, which was founded in February 2022 in response to Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Dmytro Pleshakov, CEO of Osavul, told that the company now has customers in five countries and 504 users on its platform.

The analytics platform can work with data in text, video, and audio formats on different platforms (websites, social networks, etc.).

The team helps identify online threats for the public sector, security organisations and businesses. With the new investment, the team will offer information security technologies to protect the reputation of brands.

The seed extension round was backed by several investors, one of them is the German venture fund 42CAP, which specialises in investing in early-stage technology companies. Ukrainian venture funds u.ventures and SMRK also participated in the investment round.

The funds raised will be used to expand the company's geographical footprint, particularly in the US and EU, to help companies avoid reputational risks.

The team will also focus on developing new B2B solutions and direct resources towards improving AI algorithms.
This is the second round of investment and one of the largest investments in Europe in the field of information security. A year ago, Osavul received $1 million from SMRK Venture Fund during its seed round.
